In this unit we are learning how to encourage students to use the productive skills of speaking and writing. There is an emphasis on using games to create interest and provide variety in learning opportunities that are presented to the students. It is important that the students feel that there is a purpose in communicating so the teacher has the responsibility to find activities that engage the students and that they can see as being applicable and useful in their own lives. What I liked about the unit is the encouragement to use creativity in making the lessons fun as well as educational.
