This course has been helpful in many ways. It has provided me with a refresher course on the english language, which I needed, and has given me insight into what teaching a tesol class is really like. I have learned how to properly plan a class, how to deal with problem situations that might arise during teaching, and how to motivate and encourage students. I really enjoyed the way the class was set up and how I was able to move at my own pace. I will definitely recommend this course to others who are looking to secure a tefl/tesol certificate.
I plan to take what I have learned from this class and use it in a classroom setting. I have decided on applying to EPIK this fall to teach at a public school in Korea. This course will help me with my application, since one of the sections is focused on lesson planning. If selected, I will use the materials, websites, and books mentioned in this course to help me abroad.
