Lesson planning really does make a huge difference! The teachers technique made a huge difference for the students. They were so much more engaged during the second lesson. By connecting with students on a personal level (names) and connecting animals with the grammar point (can/cant) it really allowed the students to enjoy the lesson and retain the material. This unit deals with lesson planning and how it can be used as a teachers' tool. It also includes an example of a lesson that goes over animal vocabulary along with "can"" and can't."" The reasons to use a written plan are because it helps the teacher get the most out of class time I found it interesting that including time was given so much importance in lesson planning in this unit. I usually don't write time down because it makes it difficult for me to keep my lessons fluid when I do. However
