I have thoroughly enjoyed completing this course. I have gained so much from this course. As I was planning to move overseas at some point I always thought that I could get a job teaching english. I however took this for granted. I thought as a native english teaching english would be easy and wouldn't require too much preparation at all. However, after completing this course I have come to realize how much needs to be considered in regards to the level, the background and the age of the students in how you approach the lessons. As a natural born speaker of english I found that I took grammar for granted. I had never really learned grammar that in depth at school as we all seemed to know what was right and what was wrong grammatically in our written and spoken communication. This course has enabled me to gain a good knowledge of many grammatical areas in the english language. I now feel that when I move overseas soon that I am prepared to teach english and are confident that I can do this in the most effective manner so that my students are able to benefit the most. I found that the course was well set out and easy to understand. The way in which the questions in the worksheet were presented allowed me to express my ideas of certain areas as well which I feel has helped it stick in my head better. It was also so good to have the aid of the online tutor as you could always rely on them for feedback and to give you their points of view from their teaching experience which was so beneficial for me completing this course. I will definitely be putting what I have learned into action. I will be moving to Europe in a couple of months and I will look at finding work where I can put all that I have learned into practice. I look forward to teaching students of all levels and ages and helping them come to understand the english language and be able to communicate in it more effectively. I think it would be so rewarding to see students progress in the english language and as you see their confidence growing.
