I have learned a lot from this course. Prior to enrolling, I had no experience and no knowledge about lesson planning. As I have recently received my contract to teach on the island of Jeju, South Korea starting this August, I am very great full for having taking this course. It served as a crash course on grammar that I was never actually taught in a formal school setting and that I instead learned through trial and error as a child learning to speak english. Without the benefit of this online class, I would have no clear idea of how to teach specific grammar points, how to create lesson plans, how to deal with shy and unruly students alike, etc. This course has been invaluable in so many ways that it is difficult to put them all down on paper. At the most basic level, it has taught me the basics of conducting an effective english class and has spared my future students from my potentially disastrous attempts at lesson planning without any guidance. The greatest thing this course has given me is confidence in my ability to move to South Korea and become an english teacher and helping my students to improve their english language skills.
