I have found this course to be an invaluable introduction into the processes, requirements and materials needed for teaching english to students. It has helped me to establish a well rounded guide into all aspects of teaching english to students. It has given me a wealth of information on how to plan, conduct and evaluate lessons, highlighting the important aspects necessary for conducting successful and effective lessons. This course has really made me think about the english language and has made be aware of the different approaches to teaching. It has given me a thirst to find out more and has instilled in me the need to constantly be looking for ways to improve or hone my teaching techniques. Before the course I hadn't considered all the different ways of presenting the language, or the many different activities available to teach and reinforce the language or the importance of encouraging and maintaining the student's motivation. I have gained an enormous amount of confidence and enthusiasm for teaching as a result of undertaking this course. I plan to use the information learned from this course as a basis for teaching and to add to the information and techniques provided throughout the course. After this course I have already secured a position teaching english to children and I now feel prepared and am highly excited and motivated to undertake this challenge.
