There are many ways to plan a lesson and the ESA patchwork and boomerang structures allow me to think about the structure of a lesson in new and interesting ways. It is important also to think about the difference between receptive vocabulary and productive vocabulary. In my lesson plans I will work hard to select the appropriately useful and interesting vocabulary for my students so that they do not lose their motivation to learn english. It would be great if the vocabulary and grammar structures could build upon each other and allow the students to speak in more and more complex ways about daily things that interest them.
