In this unit I learned that speaking and writing are productive skills and are equally important. An accuracy based activity is drilling. A fluency based activity is information gap. I learned that students may be reluctant to speak because of lack of confidence and lack of interest in the topic. Techniques to encourage interaction would include pair-work and group-work. teachers should always try to keep the students interest by discussing something they would be interested in.
