This unit briefly covered the different types of materials that can be used in a classroom. I appreciate how mindful this encourages teachers to be when it comes to putting together lesson plans; that they should not only consider what materials work for them and and the lesson but how the type of material can be best suited to fit the needs of the students. I remember as a student having teachers who often used authentic materials and how much more exciting it was for us. I also remember having teachers who never deviated from or supplemented the course book
