This unit provides general theories about learning and development from infancy to full maturation. It gives explanation about how we learn languages that includes native tongue and other languages. During this unit I could find out suitable approaches for teaching apropriate age groups. This unit helps to concentrate on specific ages problems while do they study. During this unit I learned the different methodologies of teaching a new language and examples of what they are. I learned the different approaches to teaching new vocabulary and the order in which it should be taught. It was good to learn the criteria to go by when selecting new words to teach. This unit shows the wide variety of tools that are available to teach effectively and also a good guide on how to use them along with potential problems that may arise. It also carefully explains when is the best time to use the equipment or teaching aid depending on what you are trying to get across.
