This chapter teaches about the present tense.Apart from the present tense,we also got the the past future tense,all of which have the simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous forms. The present tense consist of regular and irregular verb forms. Here we can classify them into affirmative, negative and question types. Affirmative ( subjecte+base form+s or es) depending on the regular verb and "es" fir verbs ending "s,ch,sh,x,z,and "ies"for thise ending with Y. Question( auxiliary verb do+subject + base form). Usage, are for habitual actions, directions and instructions as well as headlines like newspaper headlines. The present continuous tense has as form as Affirmative (subject +auxiliary verb be+verb +ing) Negative (subject +auxiliary verb be+not+ verb+ing) Question (verb be+subject +verb+ing). We also have non progressive forms that come from verbs like understand, want believe etc Usages talks about actions in progress as well as temporal actions. They're equally some mistakes to be handle as a teacher. Present perfect tense has as form as Affirmative (subject +auxiliary verb to have+past participles) Negative( subject +auxiliary verb to have+not+past participles) Usages is when talking about indefinite actions,unfinished actions in the past. Present future tense( the action is still to take place in the future or in progress) Affirmative (subject+auxiliary verb to have+been+verb +ing) Negative (subject+auxiliary verb to have +not+been+verb+ing) Question (auxiliary verb to have +subject +been+verb +ing) Usage includes communicating an ongoing action and describing an recently finished, uninterrupted action. Errors are equally observed here,which i should tackle as a teacher. In conclusion, the present tense is like a base of any speaking English exercises, so should be thought firstly and with care
