This lesson covered the theories, methods and techniques behind TEFL/TESOL. While studying the content of this lesson I learned that there are different phases within lessons (engage, study, activate) with different objectives for each phase. I also learned that there are many unique approaches to TEFL/TESOL and that there is not one that is considered best, but that the dynamics of the classroom, teacher personality, cultural considerations, and other factors must be weighed when choosing an approach.
