Managing a classroom is the most important aspect of language teaching, and one that may not come naturally to a native speaker. Being provided with a simple toolkit, that is 'personality type' neutral is very useful, and being introverted myself, the tips on passive control are very useful. Focusing on the benefits of both behavioural and environmental changes for different elements of the teaching methodology is useful, and reinforces the concept of ESA. Again, this module reinforces the benefits of student to student contact time, and the passive role a teacher has in this, as well as unintentional active roles that may cause issues. Overall, this module provides an effective overview of the tools a teacher can use to create a learning environment conducive to a variety of student types.
