Unit 3 had great syllabus/testing information, though I was lucky enough to have had much of that with the base 120-hour TEFL/TESOL course. I’m not terribly happy that this field (teaching English as a foreign/second language) has generated a ton of terminology and acronyms, as it seems so much to learn, to remember (TEFL, TESOL, TEYL, CEF, CYLE, KET, PET…). I’m sure with time, I’ll remember it all. At this point, there is plenty of information that will not pertain to my situation, so I’m simply adapting. Plus, a good student knows how to look up information when needed. Some of the material seemed like common sense, but as always, it’s good to have the reminder. It doesn’t necessarily mean I won’t space out when tested!
