In this materials unit, I learned about some of the pros and cons of authentic and unauthentic teaching materials in the classroom. I also became aware of some of the different way to deal with published workbook and textbook materials in order to make best use of the students time. The most important realization being that I do not have to feel obliged to follow materials that are not suited to my students. I was also able to review the different parts of the ESA lesson plan.
