It was interesting to learn about the pros and cons of authentic vs non-authentic materials and how a balance of both should be used to accommodate for the level of the students. It was good to know that whilst course books can provide a framework to follow, the lessons should not rely solely on them, and should also incorporate the teachers' ideas to make lessons interactive and engaging.
