The content of this unit is about two types of teaching materials for the classroom. Authentic which are real materials , such as English newspapers and magazines , that have been produced for a real purpose , outside of the classroom and Non-Authentic , such as course books and worksheets , produced for the specific purpose of being a teaching aid in the classroom along with the advantages and disadvantages of each. It was a review of Lesson Planning , reasons for creating one , to be a working document , the necessary components of a lesson plan and how to use one effectively. It explains the different types of materials Course Books usually provide , such as a classroom student's and teacher's book , progress tests , flashcards and CDs. It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of using a Course Book and how to make the best use of one along with the teaching and learning material available on the Internet. Finally, I learned how to create the best learning environment , while maintaining classroom order by using a set of tools given , such as controlling the tone of my voice or using simple face and hand gestures , to using direct eye contact. Giving clear and simple instructions , monitoring and giving feedback.
