I find that the coursebooks my Grade 1s are currently using can be slightly challenging. It can be advantageous in the way that it encourages my students to think. However, it can be tough for my students who are not as proficient in the English language. This can lead them to lose focus in the lesson instead. As such, I find that I have to supplement the class with my own resources so as to be able to help them comprehend my teaching point.
