This unit covered a lot of information on the material available to help us teach our lessons, so we may come up with a good lesson plan. Materials are either, "Authentic" which are produced for real purposes and not for the classroom. Examples are, TV shows, newspapers, magazines, etc. "Non-Authentic" materials are those that have been produced by educational companies, or you the teacher for a specific teaching aid. We saw what was included in a Lesson plan, such as: Class level, Number of students in the class, the Language Point, teaching aids being used. the Learner Objectives, Teachers Personal aims, anticipated problems for the students and for us a teacher along with the solutions to each of those anticipated problems. Given ideas for class management and finally, we were give a lot of internet resources for our use to help us along with course books. Very valuable unit information.
