Using a Lesson plan is extremely important as this will help the teacher in keeping record of progress and host more focused classes. Following a plan to and not being flexible is not advised, when giving a lesson the plan may change if need be, an example would be if you encounter an activity that the children are really enjoying and are learning allot from you would rather extend the activity to increase the benefits of the lesson as much as possible. You can then change whatever was missed in the lesson to be included in the next lesson plan. Lesson plans are also very important to ensure good preparation before class and having a document to pass onto a substitute teacher if need be.
