This unit introduces a number of teaching strategies for young people and goes into detail for songs, chants, music, playing games and telling stories, using arts and crafts and making use of things around us such as the seasons or relevant to where we are teaching. The unit lists a number of useful websites and includes some material we can use. It finishes with some lesson plans. One of the main points is that we need to be aware of our group, their age and inclinations and how they might respond to what we present them, in other words, these things need to be targeted to the audience as well the points we are trying to teach.
