This unit covers all past tenses of the English language. The forms and usages of these tenses are explained with examples as well as common student errors to be aware of, and excellent activate stage teaching ideas to practice each tense are given. The past simple form may seem the easiest as an -ed or -d is added to the base form of a regular verb. However, knowing what verbs are regular and what verbs are irregular can only be memorized as there are no rules.
