I think that past tenses require special attention since those tenses have specific uses and applications that might cause trouble to our students. Irregular verbs might become a nightmare since these verbs do not follow a rule, so teacher needs to design activities for the students to learn these complicated verb forms accurately and clearly. Past tenses also will be important when studying conditional forms, that is why students must be provided with an excellent explanation during the teaching sessions.
