The past tense is the second of the tenses that we need it because we use it to express past actions in a different forms (write, oral expression). This tense has four aspects that help us to express a sentence in a correct way to be understood for the people who will read or listen that we want to express; the tense that it could be less useful is the past perfect continuous that is a kind of expression that not everybody new it.
