Even though the tense system may cause students some difficulties, it is on us teachers to try to be as creative as possible to make them learn. One of the ways to help our students gain a better understanding of ''Present Continuous'' is the ''picture dictation'' where, in pair, students describe pictures containing a number of different actions to each other, and try to draw them from the description. The person describing the picture should be able to see what his/her partner is drawing so that modifications can be suggested if necessary, such as ''No, the man is kicking with his left foot, not his right foot''. Students are to use ''Present Continuous'' only.
