The unit covered how to introduce new material to the class as well as reviewing how ESA lessons types can fit with each category. From this unit I have learned how to prioritize and what types of activities should be used. Some of the activities carried over to the other categories, so this could be useful in determining which activities are more successful in the different categories. As a student, one tends to not question why we learn things in a certain order. Seeing this from a teacher's perspective demonstrates how critical it is to present the material in a way that can be understood by the student and will properly flow throughout the entirety of the course. Although the basics are a common way to start, this unit serves as a guide to picking vocabulary words and how to properly execute grammatical structures and language functions.
