Unit 4 has helped me get a much better understanding of the present simple, present continuous and present perfect sentences. I know that the present perfect is the past that relates to the present connecting the 2 tenses which can start with has or have after the subject is assigned. There are 7 usages to the present simple which include facts, routine and habits making this a common and easier present to understand.
