There are two tenses in English: past and present. The present tense is used to talk about the present and to talk about the future. There are four present tense forms: 1)Present simple (I work) 2)Present continuous (I am working) (often formed with verb+ing) 3)Present perfect (I have worked) (+have/has, +haven’t/hasn’t) 4)Present perfect continuous(I have been working) (+have/has, +haven’t/hasn’t + been + verb+ing) The common forms are affirmative (the example above), negative (I don’t work, etc.), question (Do I work, etc.) and the third person singular.
