I never knew that present perfect and present perfect continuous are both considered present tense; because they use past participles i had just assumed they would be grouped with past tense (as is the case with German). Nonetheless I now feel confident in my understanding of the four present tenses, how to differentiate and form each tense, and when to use each tense.
