I thought I knew all there was to know about speaking in present tense, but through reading this unit, I realized I had much to learn! I learned how to dissect a sentence with present tense verbs, how to label them, and why certain tenses are used in certain situations. I learned how I might explain different kinds of present tenses to students, how to correct them when they make errors, and how to present this topic in an engaging, interesting way! I learned about the present simple tense, the present continuous tense, the present perfect tense, and the present perfect continuous tense. After completing this unit, I feel confident in my ability to teach this topic to students who may be struggling to grasp the concepts.
