This unit brought me back to a bad experience that I had in high school, which to-date I haven’t forgotten and that I believe caused me to start losing interest in a particular subject. The teacher spoke down to me during the class and from that day, my grades and performance in that class went through the door. With perseverance, I still managed to pass the subject though. I said that to say that teachers have a huge responsibility when it comes on to students’ learning. A teachers’ management skills among other skills can either build or break a student. This unit was really useful in reminding me of the impact that an act or lack thereof can have on students and their performance.
