Reading about what makes a good teacher, really makes you think, especially when talking about the roles. I've always thought a good teacher needed to be engaging, fun and try to get all the students to participate. When talking about the roles of the class I can understand all of them, I've just never actually looked at them as separate roles. The role that struck me the most was the organizer, and how it could influence the students. Working with students of different ages, I could definitely relate to the reasons of motivation and how hard it is to teach in middle school. This unit gave me an overall understanding of how different aged classes usually tend to behave considering all the aspects of a good learner and how a teacher should apply different roles in order to give more confidence and be very kind, respectful, and very patient in all cases. Students come from different backgrounds and respect towards these are extremely important in order to create a good relationship with the class.
