This unit covered; What traits make a good teacher, the different roles of the teacher, from management of the class to role model for pronunciation and vocabulary. It also covered What attributes contribute to a good learner and young and adult learners have different needs and challenges to learning. One of the key sections that I feel I really learnt something new is the about the different roles of the teacher in the classroom and the need to balance between them. It is important to not just talk the whole time lecturing the students, but instead to engage in a more varied fashion to avoid boredom in the student.
