The content of this unit was an introduction in the teaching ways and this was done by giving examples of what makes one a good teacher, how to have your students’ attention and interest in class. The role of the teacher is explained and how this can change depending on the activity. Every student has his own reasons for choosing to learn English. For adults it can be for travel purposes, living in an English speaking country, having a better communication with his colleagues. For children is different, since they have to learn English as a second language in school, so being in class is mandatory. It is important for a teacher to understand the students’ reasons of being in the class, so they can adapt their methodology to the students’ needs. As a conclusion, the relationship between students and teacher is very important. A good teacher should care first about the learning of the students and how to do that in an interesting and productive way.
