Unit 1 discussed the relationship between teacher and student, as well as providing examples of what is considered a good teacher or learner. Throughout this chapter i learned about the different teacher roles and how they work in a classroom enviroment while also providing an explanation for each one, this is important since it allows for a better understanding of what is required and when to apply said roles. In the chapter we also discussed the different types of motivations and factors that impact a students progress in the classroom. It's key to understand what makes a student want to learn so as to shape the class in whatever way is deemed necessary to achieve a learning enviroment where the learner feels comfortable and motivated to learn.
