I've learnt about what makes a good teacher in terms of the personality and traits a teacher should have, as well as the skills and qualities I should pay attention to when teaching a class. I thought the teacher roles are very important when trying to plan and organise a lesson, so that I use the right approach to tackle problems and reach the goals I want for my students. I also learnt what kind of behaviors I should encourage out of my students so they are a good learner and take away more from the lesson. Especially when dealing with students of different ages, I have to take into account their personal development, life experiences as well as their expectations. Being able to tackle problems such as nervousness, lack of motivation and their current level of English is extremely important.
