Nowadays, the relationship between both teachers and learners has become harmonious and interdependent. Teachers has a great impact on the learners' learning and the latter influence the teaching process. What I understood from the first unit is that teachers have several roles, qualities, and responsibilities which alter according to the relevant activities that are being conducted during the lesson. Teachers can be assessor, facilitator, tutor, manager, participant, to name but a few, simultaneously. However, efficient teachers are more likely keen on assuming the apt role for its suitable situation during the course. In other words, teachers should know when to dominate the lesson and when to withdraw and be able to switch roles whenever necessary. Successful teaching is mainly based on enhancing the level of learners' motivation, concentration, and comfort throughout a lesson. In doing so, teachers are compelled to diversify the types of activities that comply with learners' language level, age, culture, and the like. In this regard, teachers should use different techniques such as gestures, mime, and their voice to convey a successful lesson. Moreover, it is compulsory for teachers to be friendly, patient, understanding, and energetic in order to make learners' learning effective and user-friendly. In short, being aware of the different types of teachers’ roles and responsibilities towards learners makes the process of learning easier and quicker.
