This unit addressed the roles and qualities of teachers and learners in the classroom. There are qualities related to a teacher's personality and their ability to interact with students that are indicators of being a good teacher. Overall, when individuals fulfill the roles of a teacher to the best of their ability it contributes to the ultimate focus for teachers - that their students learn the material well. Additionally, there are roles that a student can engage in to be a successful student and the responsibility of the teacher is to encourage students to engage in those roles so they can learn the material more efficiently. There are many factors that a teacher needs to consider when teaching students, such as age, motivation level, learning experience, language awareness, and culture. A teacher should consider these and other factors when preparing and while presenting a lesson so the students can have the best learning experience possible.
