From this unit I have learned about the many roles of teachers and what makes both students and teachers successful. Good teachers must be able to deftly switch roles to meet student needs, and assess what role is appropriate in real time. Good students must remain motivated, curious, willing to experiment with the language, and open to feed-back. The lesson also reinforced the importance of age in teaching. For me, it is good to keep this in mind, because I would like to teach both adult and young learners.
