I have learnt about the different styles of teaching and how they impact on the students, particularly their motivation and engagement to learn. It has allowed me time to reflect on some of the inspiring teachers I have had and what made them so engaging to me. I realise it was a mix of the different roles but all clearly had a passion for the students and what they were teaching. It was great to find out about the different levels the students move through to get to the advanced language level. I can see how it would be difficult to assess well at some of the levels where the students may plateau or not make obvious leaps in what they are learning.
