English language is the most speaking language after French language. This language is easy to grasp with lot of practice. Many EFL teachers use many ways to teach british language to native and non-native english speakers. Teachers use many ways and aids to teach it. There are many different ways in which a trainer can make the learning experience more interesting and memorable for learners. One technique is to use teaching aids. These are things used in the classroom to aid teaching and training. 1.White / black board It is the most traditional and flexible aid. For working on the board all work should be planned and organised. For this, make a board plan on a piece of paper beforehand, to show what the trainer intend to have on the board and when. There should be neat and clean handwriting with focussed vision. 2. Interactive whiteboard It is also known as smart boards. These are used widely in all over the world. But, a trainer can never be rely on technology. That is why, always test the equipment before start of the class and have a back up plan ready. Select carefully , system to use and its location . Trainer should be up to date about IWB and able to make his/her own IWB lesson plans. 3. Overhead projector Overhead projector is the most time-saving equipment. It attracts students attention. It is useful for highlighting and correcting in the lesson. Trainer can put projector on top of the other to show emerging or developing patterns. It can easily presents model grammar and vocabulary and perfect tool for doing worksheets in front of class. Teacher can take time to write on OHTS ensuring legibility. The biggest demerit of it is that it needs a surface not reached by direct sunlight. Sometimes, it might be troublesome to set up. It need space for projection. 4. Worksheets and work cards Worksheets are useful in sharpening skills of students of what they learnt. It acts as cue materials. Trainer can make their own worksheets for readings , grammar exercises and new vocabulary. But make sure these worksheets and cards kept clean and undamaged. 5. Cassette recorder It is the most useful tool for EFL teachers. A teacher should be fully prepared for it. Like, already test the recorder, should know that where and when to stop and play the recorder. It is very much beneficial in polishing and correcting speaking skills of learners. 6.Videos , DVDS and CD-player CD-player is used as a primary audio source. For listening practice still it is in use for example playing an audio conversation, in plays. Videos and DVDS are significant useful in playing english episodes , plays and podcasts for practising english language. As with the help of videos students can understand the exact expression of the dialogue is used in video. 7. Video-Camera It is useful in analysing and discuss student activities by recording it. It plays vital role in learning language so quickly. 8.Dictionaries Dictionaries are beneficial for students. They come to know about the different meanings, pronunciation and use in different ways. But for it, students should know how to use dictionary. Teacher will help in finding meanings if students are of young age. 9. Course books A teacher can choose only that coursebook which is balanced in approach . Teacher don't rely on the information presented and don't use it all the time. Teacher can use information from newspapers, Brochures, magazines and can create it by making crosswords, word search and flashcards and games. 10.Resource books These are informative for teaching purposes, activities for study and activate phases during ESA lessons in teaching English language . It is good for new teachers,quicker than creating your own, students can use them. But it is not useful for every student. Sometimes student or trainer may not like the book. 11. Photocopier It is very much useful in backing up notes which has been dictated by teachers. These notes are useful for years. We can also take printouts from online resources. 12.Computers are useful in teaching english language. With the help of internet they can learn from watching youtube videos,podcasts, audio clips too. It is useful as reference tools, EFL CDS. 13.Online CDS There are ample of online sources for learning from various sites like www.fredriley.org. Other sources like online dictionaries , history of literature and poetry,media resources as i earlier mentioned in computer section, miscellaneous exercises. Hence, every teacher has its own way to use these above aids. As, in the end, it's not a cakewalk to learn any language it depends upon more and more practice you can.
