One day I was watching some videos on YouTube. I found a video that Ryan made, and that's how I got interested in Japan. He showed us his daily life while he was walking to work, his apartment or the grocery store he went. I watched every single video he had to learn more about the country. I fell in love with everything I saw. I loved how everything was so different and beautiful. I had to find out as much as I could about Japan and how I would be able to move there. I went on some sites to be able to meet and talk to some people from Japan. One person suggested that If I wanted to meet a lot of people. I should go on an Asian dating site to talk with the women there. When I first made the profile. I was not sure what to expect or if anyone would answer. To my surprise, I received so many messages that I couldn't answer all of them. At that point, I decided to talk to people from all over the place in Asia and not just Japan. I started to learn so many different things about their cultures. Celebrations I found interesting were the Qing Ming Festival, its also known as the day of the dead celebrated in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Jalan Jaksa Festival from Indonesia I thought was interesting also. They close some streets to all traffic and replaced with food stalls, craft workshops, street artists and musicians. You can try food from all kinds of Indonesian specialties. That got me interested in finding out how I could move there to experience it all. I decided to go on a vacation to see some things in person. While I was out of the country for a month, I went to Bali, Singapore, and Jakarta. When the time there was done, and I had to come back. I had a lot of time to do some thinking on the long plane ride to Canada. It took close to 20 hours to get back. I then decided that I had to take a TEFL course to be able to move and get some work in an Asian country. I started talking to some people from YouTube that live in different Asian counties that are teaching there to find out where I could get my certificate. Most people I spoke to mentioned ITTT. If I pass the course, I plan on taking a second course from ITTT, young learners. Once I finish the courses from ITTT. I want to use all the resources possible that they have to help me find a job in Indonesia, Vietnam or Cambodia. I am even willing to go to a homestay as they have in Vietnam. Its where you stay and the food and bed are for free. The reason the accommodation's free is cause you have to teach classes for at least 3 hours each day. So I can get some experience before finding a real job unless I fall in love with one country. I was hoping to be able to spend one year in Indonesia then the second in Vietnam etc.
