Throughout this unit I have learnt to differentiate the difference between teachers and learners. However, the first thing I learnt was how many different roles a teacher can play in the classroom, which I found very interesting and have now become very knowledgeable in that area. For example, I learnt that there are over nine roles a teacher can play in a classroom setting. For instance, the role of being a monitor is extremely important to the classroom as it allows you to keep an eye on your students and realize how long a certain activities is taking them. To conclude, I found all of the roles of a teacher very important and I want to incorporate all of those amazing qualities into my role as a future teacher. On the other hand, this unit also taught me about learners as well. Throughout this unit it discussed the different types of learners. I learnt that there are many different types of learners, grouping them from different age categories; 2-7 years, 8-13 years, 14-18 years and the last being adult learners. In that case, all of these different age categories have different behavioral issues, different experiences and last but not least, different things that motivate them. In brief, this unit was a great introduction to the basics of teachers and learners.
