This was a good introductory unit on basic qualities of good teachers and good learners. It outlined the importance of a teacher knowing and understanding a student's motivation to learn English. A combination of knowing a student's English proficiency level from Basic to Advanced is just as important as their motivators. Knowing these things in conjunction with knowing what constitutes a good teacher are important when beginning teaching a new class. This information will set the tone for all future lessons.
