The content presented in this unit summarized the many facets and differences between the role of the teacher and the responsibilities and characteristics of learners in each age, skill and, motivation level and how that affects their learning. English learners who are a beginner and also are very young will need more managing or controlling roles as opposed to more intermediate adult students that require a resource for their expanding vocabulary and grammar skills. I have also learned that language learning is a two-way street, where the feedback instructors receive from their students must influence their teaching styles and their approach in the classroom.
