This unit provides a solid foundation about the qualities of effective teachers and learners, as well as the various roles that teachers and learners take on during the teaching/learning process. It was helpful to consider the various “hats” that both teachers and learners adopt and how important it is for teachers to act in different ways and take on different roles depending on the situational context. Furthermore, I learned about the categories that are generally used to evaluate the language levels of language learners.
