I feel that the main thing that I learned from this unit is that a teacher of English as a second language has to be committed and enthusiastic about the opportunity. The teacher needs to be prepared, have a good attitude and care for the students. A teacher needs to know its students and their level of knowledge, interest and age thus customizing the lessons to be as effective as possible. Teacher also needs to be aware of progress and as necessary use various techniques to engage and teach.
