This unit effectively covers the roles of teachers, notably managers/controllers, organizers, assessors, prompters, tutors, resources/facilitator, models, and observers/motivators. All of these roles have their place in the classroom setting and it is up to each teacher to evaluate the use of each in their most effective means based on their cultural context and individual classroom needs. In addition, this unit also covered what makes a given student a good learner and the factors (e.g. learning experience, motivation level, nervousness, language awareness, behavior problems, and life experience) that influence their ability to learn well.
