In Unit 1, I learned about the different roles of a teacher. A teacher can be a prompter, resource/facilitator, manager/controller, observer/learner, organizer, assessor, tutor, participant, or a model. Each role depends on the type of activity that the teacher will prepare for the students. Teacher must know when to apply each role appropriately. This unit also contains what to consider in teaching the English language. Teachers need to be aware of the different factors affecting the students' learning such as; age,learning experience, motivation, Nervousness, Life experience, Language awareness, Culture and first language, Behavior problems, and language level. The relationship between the teacher and the learner is very important and complex issue.
