In this Unit I learnt many important things, such as the qualities that a good teacher should have. For example: A good teacher should have patience, because each student has a different speed level of progress and all of them must be respected and helped. A good teacher must be entertaining, in order to keep the students paying attention to the class, and also should be a motivator, in order to involve the students in the class and keep them focused. To love teaching is also essential, because it’s only possible to do something well if you like what you are doing. I also learnt about the many roles a teacher have in the classroom, such as "Organizer", "Manager"/"Controller", "Assessor", etc... I found out about the qualities of good learner and also the differences between adult and young learners. Levels of language ability and the motivations to learn English were also very interesting points of this Unit.
